Welcome
Thank you for your interest in performing at Medieval Faires Canada.
Our entertainers are one of the biggest reasons guests return to our Faires year after year. Together, we create an experience that is immersive, family-friendly, and unlike any other event in Western Canada.
These policies are intended to help us build a successful partnership while preserving the unique experience our guests have come to expect.
We sincerely appreciate your talent, professionalism, and the passion you bring to our villages.
Our Commitment to Our Entertainers
We believe that successful events are built on strong partnerships.
When you perform at Medieval Faires Canada, we don't simply hire you for a weekend—we actively work to promote both you and your performances.
As part of our commitment, we:
- Feature entertainers on the Medieval Faires Canada website.
- Promote performers through our social media channels before and during each Faire.
- Include entertainer spotlights in our email newsletters whenever possible.
- Encourage guests to attend performances and interact with our entertainers throughout the weekend.
- Provide a professionally organized event attended by thousands of guests each season.
- Build long-term relationships with our entertainers whenever possible.
Our goal is to help our entertainers grow their audience while continuing to build one of Canada's premier family-friendly medieval events. In return, we ask our entertainers to support the values and policies that help make Medieval Faires Canada a unique experience for our guests.
1. Entertainer Exclusivity Policy
To help preserve the unique experience our guests have come to expect, entertainers performing at Medieval Faires Canada agree not to accept bookings at similar medieval, renaissance or fantasy themed events within three (3) weeks before or three (3) weeks after any Medieval Faires Canada event for which they are contracted.
This policy applies only to similar themed events and does not include schools, corporate functions, private events, theatres, concerts, community celebrations, or other performances outside the medieval and fantasy event industry.
2. Family-Friendly Environment
Medieval Faires Canada is a family-oriented event.
Performances, costumes, language, audience participation, and interactions with guests should always be suitable for a family audience unless otherwise approved in advance by the event organizers.
3. Professional Conduct
We ask all entertainers to treat guests, fellow performers, exhibitors, volunteers, and staff with courtesy and respect.
Professionalism both on and off the stage contributes to the atmosphere we work hard to create.
4. Guest Interaction
One of the things that makes Medieval Faires Canada unique is the interaction between entertainers and our guests.
Whenever practical, we encourage performers to engage with visitors throughout the day, helping to create an immersive and welcoming village atmosphere.
5. Arrival & Performance Schedule
Please arrive in plenty of time for scheduled performances.
Should an unexpected delay occur, notify the Show Management as soon as possible.
While every effort is made to maintain published schedules, performance times and locations may be adjusted due to weather, operational requirements, or unforeseen circumstances.
6. Safety
Safety is everyone's responsibility.
Any performance involving fire, animals, weapons, or other elevated risks must be approved in advance and comply with all applicable safety requirements.
7. Merchandise Sales
Entertainers wishing to sell merchandise must receive prior approval from Medieval Faires Canada.
Approved merchandise may only be sold from designated locations.
8. Photography & Promotion
By performing at Medieval Faires Canada, entertainers acknowledge that photographs and video taken during the event may be used by Medieval Faires Canada for promotional purposes.
We also appreciate performers sharing event posts and helping spread the word whenever possible.
9. Camping & Parking
Camping and parking information will be provided prior to each event.
Please camp and park only in designated areas and help us keep performer spaces organized and safe.
10. Questions
If you have questions about any of these policies, please contact us before accepting your booking.
We're always happy to discuss them.
